PeakTime Perks: Thermostat Program
CoServ has partnered with some of the biggest brands in smart thermostats to bring you effortless savings all summer long with a $10 bill credit each month you participate from June to September. We’ll adjust your thermostat during PeakTime events to reduce energy use and lower grid costs. You can enjoy the cool AND the savings!
How it Works
- Residential Members get a $10 bill credit from June through September while enrolled.
- Events may consist of a pre-cooling period to make your home more comfortable and a period of time when your energy usage is reduced.
- Typical events last about 3 hours and occur between 3 and 7 p.m.*
- Customers will be notified at least one hour before each event.
- The program runs from June 1 to Sept. 30.
Note: The temperature will not change more than a few degrees, and you always have the option to change it as needed, keeping you comfortable and in control of your thermostat.
*In rare instances, events can last longer than 3 hours, and times are at CoServ’s discretion.
Beat the Heat, Save on Your Bill:
When temperatures soar, air conditioner use also increases, creating “an energy rush hour.” Wholesale electricity costs are typically highest during the hottest part of the day, which can result in a peak event. These power costs are passed through on future electricity bills to all Members.
Together, we can work to reduce energy use and lower these costs through programs like PeakTime Perks.

- Google Nest Thermostat
- Other (Honeywell, Ecobee, Amazon)
Step 2: Make sure you have your login information for your device.
Step 3: Click the Enroll Now Button below for your device type.

Who's eligible for PeakTime Perks: Thermostat Program
- Members with a supported thermostat. See the complete list below.
- Members with a central air conditioning unit.
- Members in apartments or single-family homes who rent or own.
- Must be enrolled in one of CoServ’s Thermostat reward programs.

*Starting October 25, 2025, Google Nest will no longer support the 1st and 2nd generation Nest Learning Thermostats. This means these devices will no longer be eligible to participate in the Rush Hour Rewards program. Don’t have a Smart Thermostat?
- Thermostats can be purchased at any home improvement store or online retailer.
- CoServ does not provide or sell any smart thermostats, and we do not offer rebates.
- At this time, only supported thermostats are eligible for the CoServ PeakTime Perks Thermostat Program.
