CoServ is made up of two companies, CoServ Electric, a cooperative, and CoServ Gas, a natural gas distribution provider. While they operate as separate entities, both are guided by the same Mission and Vision: providing safe, reliable energy solutions and leading with innovative ideas that serve our communities. Rooted in cooperative principles, CoServ remains committed to the people and places we power.

Member-Owned Electric Cooperative
CoServ's Customers are also its Members – and they are the owners of the cooperative. As a non-for-profit, CoServ doesn't have shareholders and reinvests revenue back into operations and the communities it serves.
Member-Led Governance
Members elect CoServ's Board of Directors, who provide oversight and strategic direction for the cooperative. Elections take place leading up to the Annual Meeting each June. More details are available at CoServ.com/Elections.
Industry-Leading Reliability
CoServ is among the most reliable electric utilities in Texas, with a 2025 SAIDI score of 31.1 minutes – meaning the average Member experienced only about half an hour of outage time all year. That equates to 99.99% power availability.
